Bingas - Shadow Play (June)

Hi I’m Bingas and I’m a gaming addict… Hang on wrong meeting.

Ok lets start again, I’m Bingas and for the Tale of Gamers 2011 I’m collecting a Cryx army. To be more specific I’m collecting a Wraith Witch Deneghra Theme force.  (The Title may have given this away)

Now there is a story behind me choosing this caster, Originally I planned on choosing a theme force that had mercenary miniatures that are on my wish list (now the wish list is too big to list and just got bigger with Wrath) now with that in mind I had 2 options pGoreshade and the new Zerkova theme (from Forces of Distinction I in No Quarter 34). The reason that I ended up with a third option is simple. The Goreshade list was mostly Bane Thralls, if I wanted to paint 20+ of the same figure I'd still play warhammer, and the Zerkova lists consisted of minis that I Proxy already and I wouldn’t get anything new out of it. Another reason is that I fell in love with the Nightmare Warjack and this is the only one that let me get it.

So you’ve heard the saying that no plan survives first contact with the enemy this is even more true with my shopping plans.  I worked out what I wanted to buy each month so that I could order minis and time everything right. Up until I discovered missing parts. So after returns and restricted shop inventory I ended up with something different than I planned.  Also the Warcaster that i ordered never showed up...grrr
Month One Purchases:
·         Warwitch Siren
·         Pistol Wraith
·         Pistol Wraith (Variant)
·         Skarlock Thrall
Total $44
Now I’ve chosen to use a Variant League Card for my Pistol Wraiths to field them as Tempest Wraiths (Undead Gunmages) Why? Because I like Gunmages, and seeing as I play both  Llaelese and Cygnar gunmage armies I decided to paint one up as each.

This one is all paintjob. He is a Gunmage from the Amethyst Rose and is painted in the colors that my Merc Gunmages will (one day) be painted.

Now the next one I had a friend sculpt a hat on to make it look like a Cygnar Gunmage.

Next up I have a Warwitch Siren. No as I plan to have a two of these I want them to look different. I reposed the weapon to look like she is slashing back across her body.
And finally my Skarlock. The Soul trail is sooo frustrating, first off the thing has a Mohawk due to flash, then the trail doesn’t meet to the middle part correctly, and the end of it keeps falling off.  I’ve done what I can and I’m happy with the results.

Now that people have had a chance to laugh at my paint jobs I’ll point out that before these I’ve painted a total of 9 miniatures
