Darek Page -"oops i did it again".

for quite some time i had a phrase i often used: "the joys of being single" i would use this phrase whenever a friend of mine felt the leash of their 'significant other'... however i can no longer use that phrase as i've now found a significant other.

While i'm enjoying being together with someone, i have found my other duties are starting to slip... including contining posts on this site. but i'm here now and it's time to play catch up.

so let's rewind time a little to september and move with the times.

SEPTEMBER:
so there was a trip planned to go to the city to spend off the next lot of warbond profits... it certainly didn't go as planned but was certainly eventful. i'm guessing your all wondering what was on my next list, well this time Nemo had failed to find any the new shining jacks he wanted... no thunderhead, no fireflies...nothing, then he noticed something over in the 2nd hand bodgers corner... these jacks practically 1/3rd of the price you'd get them off the er... shelf.
technically to the rules these jacks would still come under the budgeting field restrictions, cheap things shouldn't be sniffed at lightly.
nemo inspected the jacks... first up was a lancer, something nemo wanted for a while, this would overcome the issues with spell range and take out those pesky wraiths and other incorporal nusiances. then there was a storm clad. one of the few jacks that fitted right into nemo's theme list. then there was a centurian, while not perfect fit for the themelist, it was closer than the lancer and let's face it, cheap was cheap. so nemo got them all, and now his jack force is looking pretty decent...

painting: the thing is about 2nd hand models... someone owns them before you. which means there is a decent chance there were already painted, who owned the storm clad must have liked it enough to do a really nice job on it... so nice i thought id respect the artwork and leave it be for the most part... the only thing i want to do is apply the standard lightning sheme a bit to the sword and call it a day, who ever owned the lancer didn't have as much passion for it, it was pinned but not glued well and the arcnode even detached it self, it was undercoated rather dully and that's as far as the details went, amusingly at my lapse in thought, i was concerned how i would apply my standard lightning theme to the lancer... then i remembered that nothing from the lancer would be producing lightning anyway.
the centurian is in reasonably good condition. no paint work upon it and nicely assembled. it would make a fine addition to the force.

now all i have to do is start working on them.

OCTOBER:
i don't know what happened, but i think the store owners were noticing what was going on... i found not only one but two fire flies and another group of storm callers... the primary tactic of my force is now in full swing! that's something like 8 possible triangulations and at least 5 triangulations going off a turn for the time being.

Modeling: since these models are all things i already have in my force, i wanted their positioning to be unique... so i've played around and got them all striking a pose i can be happy with.

Painting: haven't done much in the painting department and getting a little concerned on that, in my defence i have been preoccupied with going on a trip interstate but i hope to settle things when i get back, i may have to organise a painting day to get my act into gear.

PS: Late in the month of october i found myself wondering what was going to be my november purchase would be... would i get another unit of stormguard to reach the next point in my Tier list? would i look into more jacks?... little did i know that the decsion had already been made for me as i entered the store and saw my friendly store clerk hold up a box as though he was expecting me... my eyes grew wide and in the far distance, i swear i could hear thunder.
